Parking at Thessaloniki Airport
The Fraport car parks sit in front of the new terminal, with separate short-stay and long-stay areas and a walk of two to five minutes to check-in. Unlike Athens there is no shuttle to worry about, and outside August and the Christmas exodus there is always space.
Thessaloniki is a city where people fly out for the weekend, so the short-stay area fills up on Friday evenings and empties on Sunday nights; the long-stay area is calmer.
Parking rates
Pay at the machines in the terminal or at the car park exit. The figures below are indicative; the operator posts the current tariff at the entrance and offers online rates for longer stays.

Drop-off and pick-up
The forecourt of the new terminal is for dropping off only; cars left there are moved on quickly. To collect someone, use the short-stay car park and its free first 10 minutes, and watch the live arrivals board here before you leave home: the coast road backs up badly around 15:00 and 20:00.
Private car parks near the airport
Several private car parks along the airport road and in Thermi offer covered or fenced parking with a shuttle to the terminal, usually well under the on-site weekly rate. They are popular with locals leaving for a week or two; book ahead for August and the holidays. The airport has no involvement in these services.
